• Photo Prints
  • Enclose single prints in either a paper or plastic sleeve,
    or a clear plastic bag.
  • Sandwich between 2 (or more) pieces of stiff cardboard.
  • Slip into a padded or bubble mailing envelope.
  • Mark DO NOT BEND on the envelope.
  • Package larger quantities of photos (for scanning and
    archiving) in a sturdy box surrounded with adequate
    packing material to keep them from moving around
    during shipping.
  • Ship to my mailing address below using the carrier of
    your choice.

  • Framed Prints
  • If there is glass in the frame, put an "x" of masking tape
    over the glass in case of breakage.  It will keep the glass
    from scattering.
  • Wrap the frame securely in bubble wrap.
  • Use a good quality shipping box that is 2-3 inches larger
    than the frame on all sides.
  • Pad under, over and on all sides with good packing
    material.  The frame should not move when the package
    is shaken.  The goal here is to keep the frame from
    touching the sides of the box and to cushion it from the
    jarring it will receive in the shipping process.
  • Securely tape the box closed using packing tape on all
    box seams.
  • Ship to my mailing address below using the carrier of
    your choice.
  • Slides
  • Secure the slides in their boxes or band them together
    so they don't move around.
  • Pack them securely in a sturdy box surrounded them  
    adequate packing material to keep them from moving
    around during shipping.
  • Ship to my mailing address below using the carrier of
    your choice.

  • Negatives
  • Pack negatives in their sleeves or envelopes.
  • For small quantities, sandwich between 2 (or more)
    pieces of stiff cardboard.
  • Slip into a padded or bubble mailing envelope.
  • Mark DO NOT BEND on the envelope.
  • For larger quantities, pack the negatives in their sleeves
    or envelopes and pack in a sturdy box, surrounded by
    adequate packing material to keep them from moving
    around during shipping.
  • Ship to my mailing address below using the carrier of
    your choice.

  • Art Prints
  • Small: Enclose in either a paper or plastic sleeve, or a
    clear plastic bag.
  • Sandwich between 2 (or more) pieces of stiff cardboard.
  • Slip into a padded or bubble mailing envelope.

  • Large: Enclose in plastic.
  • Sandwich between stiff cardboard or styrofoam sheets.
  • Package in a shipping box sufficient for the size of your
    piece.
  • Ship to my mailing address below using the carrier of
    your choice.
Things to keep in mind when choosing a carrier:

  • Use a service with which you are personally
    comfortable and with which you have previously
    had satisfactory experiences.
  • Does the service offer insurance?
  • Does the service have tracking capabilities with
    which you are satisfied?
